Research interest
I study the interaction between (a) large-scale social change, (b) the stigmatization and destigmatization of identity groups, and (c) downstream effects on firm strategy and behavior. Current projects include a study of how Jewish business owners adapted to the emergence of the Nazi regime, as well as a study of the demise of the Negro Leagues after the racial integration of Major League Baseball.

I’m primarily interested in research on Corporate Strategy, Corporate Governance, and the intersection between the two. Currently, I’m working on projects on how activist investors influence their target’s growth strategies and how social movements and corporations jostle for influence at the SEC.
