Vice Dean for Aresty Institute of Executive Education
Monica McGrath is the Vice Dean for the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management and teaches in both open enrollment and custom programs at Wharton Executive Education. She is an expert in succession planning, internal coaching, teamwork, talent management, negotiations, emotional intelligence and women in leadership roles. Monica’s background in psychology and education allow her to integrate strong diagnostic skills, critical reflection and behavioral observation to challenge others to learn and enhance their leadership approach.
In addition to teaching at Wharton, Monica has also consulted with and acted as an executive coach to senior executives and their teams in for profit and nonprofit organizations. She has designed learning programs for senior executive teams and high-potential managers at a variety of Fortune 500 companies. Clients have included Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), U.S. Steel, Siemens Medical Systems, Colgate Palmolive Co., FMC Corporation, TDL Group (Tim Horton’s), Unisys, Rohm and Haas, DuPont Company and Wyeth (currently Pfizer, Inc.)
Monica holds a M.Ed. in adult learning and Ph.D. in psychological studies in education with an emphasis in organizational systems from Temple University.
